In the time it has taken for Earth to complete a single spin on its axis, the gaming community has been out in full force and picked apart the newly launched Portal: Companion Collection for the Nintendo Switch.

The first discovery came from self-proclaimed "Switch tinkerer" OatmealDome. In this case, the modder managed to unearth some Half-Life 2 content tucked away in the Portal: Companion Collection's files.

"The entirety of Half-Life 2 (minus maps and music) is present in the ROM," they wrote via Twitter. "Likely based on the NVIDIA Shield port, with a little Xbox 360 sprinkled in."

They go on to add, "Also, I should note that having at least some Half-Life 2 leftovers present in the ROM is expected, considering Portal 1 is just a fancy mod of Half-Life 2. That being said, there are a lot of files that shouldn't be here (HL2-specific models, NPCs, voice clips, etc)."

Following this discovery, they then successfully managed to get Half-Life 2 running on their Nintendo Switch, with OatmealDome saying, "the game kinda works... It occasionally crashes, some maps are impossible to progress in, NPC animations are bugged, saves don't work, and world cameras are placed at the wrong coordinates."

Paul from the YouTube channel RedGamingTech is at it again with another round of leaks regarding Nvidia’s upcoming RTX 40 “Lovelace” GPUs. The leaker has divulged the possible clock speed for the RTX 4090 as well as some release date information about the RTX 4090 Ti.

Nvidia and AMD are gearing up to release their next-generation graphics boards later this year. So, the rumor mill is in full swing. This time around RedGamingTech’s newest video details the possible clock speeds of the RTX 4090 and the RTX 4080.

First, one of the leaker’s sources claims that some RTX 4090 SKUs can reach a clock frequency as high as 3 GHz after overclocking. But to achieve this crazy high clock speed, the board will reportedly use 120% more power than the standard power limit which, according to RedGamingTech, comes around to 550 W.

Similarly, the leaker has also shed some light on the RTX 4080’s clock speed. In our previous report about the updated specs of the Nvidia RTX 40 series GPUs, we mentioned that the power limit for the RTX 4080 is allegedly 420 W. This number is close to the RTX 4090’s recently proposed power draw. Paul offers some explanation as to why Nvidia decided to set the TBP for the RTX 4080 so high.
